  • The United Nations General Assembly declared 2012 as the International Year of Sustainable Energy for All. Recognizing the importance of energy for sustainable development, the United Nations General Assembly has designated, by its resolution 65/151.
  • Kahramaa Awareness Park with National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency (Tarsheed) and Electric Car Changing Station run by Kahramaa.
  • The Arab Youth Climate Movement (AYCM) is an independent body that works to create a generation-wide movement across the Middle East & North Africa to solve the climate crisis, and to assess and support the establishment of legally binding agreements to deal with climate change issues within international negotiations.
